Ultra Precision Special Machines
The fundamental principles of precision design and mechanical excellence have guided Moore for decades. These are combined today with an emphasis on engineering science using state-of-the-art CAD software. While we are still dependent upon the craft skills of our employees, we also use modern design concepts such as hydrostatic guideways and polymer bases. We rely on modern electronics and software, including advanced control and servo systems. Our management team has the skills it takes to ensure that we satisfy customers when it comes to specifications, project schedules and budget demands.
Following is a partial representation of the Custom Machines made by Moore Tool Company.
Dual Spindle Dicing/Slicing Machine
The dual spindle dicing machine will enable you to increase your production while providing you with cleaner, more precise cuts. It uses two 25,000 rpm spindles that allow climb cutting while cutting in both directions – a real time-saving feature. The entire machine has been designed to provide maximum stability and stiffness to enable cutting speeds of up to 30 inches per second while maintaining clean cut part edges. The X and Y axes utilize ball-screw drive and roller ways. A 0.1 micron resolution linear scale provides feedback on the Y axis.
A rotary indexer, mounted to the X-axis, provides 90 degree rotation of the part. A digital camera system is used for alignment. In fact, every detail of this machine has been designed to contribute to the high quality and accuracy you require in the products you deliver.

Rotary Jig Borers
The Producto Brand Rotary Jig Borer utilizes three axes of motion. Two linear axes, X and Z and one rotary axis, C, are used for precision boring bolt hole circles, as well as precision scalloping of Turbine Engine components. The unique utilization of a precision positioning X-axis and our standard Producto brand rotary table, provides consistent bolt-hole patterns to a true position of 0.0005 inch even in the most harsh shop environment. Designed as a special purpose machine in 1973, this product has fast become the standard in the manufacture of Aircraft Engine high-pressure turbine disks, with over 200 machines in operation throughout the world.

5-Axis Jig Bore
The Producto brand 5-Axis Jig Borer was developed to fulfill the requirements of customers requiring the precision machining of parts in one set-up. This machine can be configured in many ways. The machine can be supplied with three linear axes of motion and a rotary tilt table (shown); three linear axes with a tilt spindle and a plain horizontally rotary table mounted on the X-axis linear saddle; or three linear axes with a vertical table mounted on a horizontal mounted table on the X-axis saddle (compound tables). The machine can also be supplied with horizontal or vertical spindle configurations. Machining volumes can be varied from a 24-inch cube to a 60-inch cube in 12-inch increments.

Large Vertical I.D./O.D. Grinder
The Moore Tool Company Precision I.D./O.D. Grinder gives our customers the capability to grind the internal and external diameters of large round parts to a tolerance of 0.000080 inch. Part concentricity of the I.D. to O.D. can be held to less than 0.0001 inch on parts that are 60 inches in diameter by 60 inches tall. For grinding tapers on the inside diameter, a programmable I.D. column pivot can be offered

Rock Bit Machine
The Producto brand Rock Bit Drill is offered to industry to manufacture drill bits commonly used in oil field. This machine utilizes two spindles (one adjustable) to efficiently drill two parts simultaneously. The unique implementation of twin tool-length probes enables drills to be set to equal lengths without the need for preset tooling. Unique software tracks tool-life and signals the operator when tools need changing. All these features produce a highly productive answer for the manufacture of rock bits.

Special Diamond Turning Machine This machine is an Ultra-Precision 4-Axis (X, Z, B, A) Numerically ControlledTurning/Grinding/Fly-Cutting Machine. The machine uses the A-Axis both as a spindle and as a servo- controlled machining axis. Single-point turning (with a tool mounted atop the B-Axis) is possible.

Broaching Machines
The new Producto brand Mini-Broach was designed to answer customers' requests for a broach geared to "Lean Manufacturing" concepts. This machine has a small footprint, and does not require a pit or foundation, thus enabling the machine to be moved into new locations without the usual expense of supplying these items. Even with the flexibility provided, this machine still provides a stiff structure and high thrust capability demanded by our customers. Unlike conventional broach designs, using hydraulically actuated rams, this machine utilizes a heavy-duty roller-screw for thrust and movement of the ram axis. This feature, along with the heavily ribbed steel welded design provides for superior accuracies and part finishes.
